The Neuroimmunology SIG will advance understanding of the immune mechanisms of pain across conditions and the lifespan by promoting communication, education, and collaboration within the IASP community.听
Goals of the SIG听
- Promote communication and exchange among scientists and healthcare professionals studying neuroimmune mechanisms of pain, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue across disciplines, career stages, and geographic regions.听
- Advance education and professional development by providing accessible forums that听disseminate听emerging concepts, methodological approaches, and clinically relevant perspectives in pain neuroimmunology.听
- Facilitate collaboration and integration within IASP by providing a dedicated organizational home for neuroimmunology in pain, connecting听members听and strengthening cross-cutting engagement across the Society. The establishment of a Neuroimmunology SIG aligns with the IASP Vision and Strategic Plan by supporting an increasingly influential dimension of pain science within the Society.听
